The Thread Gage Rotary is a purpose-built cleaning and inspection fixture for API thread plug and ring gages ranging from 2 to 20 inches.
It keeps the gage supported horizontally on polyurethane-covered rollers, allowing technicians to smoothly rotate the gage while cleaning, deburring, buffing, sanding, and inspecting—without repeatedly picking it up, setting it down, and repositioning it by hand.
Originally developed around the demanding workflow of large API thread gages, the Thread Gage Rotary turns one of the most tedious jobs in a calibration lab into a simpler, more controlled process.

Built for the Work
Large thread gages can be heavy, awkward, and tedious to clean properly. Traditional handling means repeatedly lifting, rotating, setting down, and repositioning the gage throughout the cleaning and inspection process.
The Thread Gage Rotary was designed specifically to eliminate that unnecessary handling.
Place the gage on the rollers and leave it there.
Clean. Deburr. Buff. Sand. Inspect. Repeat.
The gage rotates smoothly while remaining supported, and the fixture can be repositioned to provide a better working or viewing angle when needed.
Designed for Thread Gage Maintenance
Well suited for laboratories and facilities working with large thread gages, including applications involving API 5B and API 7-2 plug and ring gages.
The adjustable roller positions allow the fixture to accommodate a wide range of gage sizes and geometries.

Adjustable for Different Gages
Roller position can be changed to accommodate plug and ring gages across a broad range of sizes.
The current design is intended for large thread-gage applications in approximately the 2 in to 20 in range, depending on the geometry of the individual gage.

Smooth, Controlled Rotation
The polyurethane-covered rollers provide a durable contact surface while allowing the gage to rotate smoothly and predictably during cleaning and inspection.
